The death has occurred of Evelyn (Ev) Mortimer (née Corbett), (30/04/1930 – 07/01/2024), Shrule, Co Mayo, peacefully at Castlegar Nursing Home surrounded by loving family members.
Predeceased by her parents, Frank and Delia Corbett, brother Oliver, sister Resa, husband George and son Frank.
She will be sadly missed by her loving sons Dermot, Oliver, Stanley, George, Austin, daughters Helen and Loretta, 27 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, extended family, and friends.
May Evelyn Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Cradock's Funeral Home, Shrule on Wednesday 10th of January from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, 11th of January at 12pm in St. Joseph’s Church, Shrule with burial afterwards in Shrule Cemetery.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for all the messages of condolences they have received at this difficult time. A heartfelt thanks is extended to the staff and nurses of Castlegar nursing home for their kindness and loving care for Ev.
The Mass will be live streamed on Shrule Parish Facebook page and will also be broadcast on local radio on 101.4 FM.
