Gantley Finbarr. Newtown, Tubber, Co. Galway. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Joe and Nancy and brother of the late Maire.
Finbarr was a devoted husband to Mary and a wonderful father to Liam, Finbarr, Rory, Niamh, Brendan and Joe. Adored by his daughter’s In - law Judith, Ann, Dolores, Laura, Helena and son in-law John. Finbarr was idolised by his 15 grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his heart broken family and by his brothers Padraig (New Zealand), Michael (Athlone), Noel (San Francisco), his sister Teresa (Miltown Malbay), his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and by his extended family, his wonderful friends and neighbours.

In accordance with HSE and government guidelines on public gatherings the funeral mass and the family home is strictly private and for family only at this time. Finbarr's Requiem Mass will take place in St. Annes Church Shanaglish on Monday, July 19th, at 2 pm. Burial afterwards in Shanaglish Cemetery. The funeral mass will be streamed live on Dolan Undertakers Facebook page. Funeral will be lived streamed click the link here. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Patient Comfort fund I.C.U Galway.
The funeral cortege will leave his residence in Newtown at 1.20pm and travel via the Barracks and Whelans Bar and onwards to St. Anne's church. People attending the funeral route are kindly asked to please social distance and refrain from handshaking at all times.The Gantley family deeply appreciate your support at this sad time.
The family would like to thank the medical and nursing staff of G.U.H especially the nurses and doctors of I.C.U who cared for Finbarr with such compassion and kindness.
