The death has occurred of
Fr. Donal Fennessy
Fennessy, S.M.A.; Rev. Fr. Donal, Society of African Missions [late of Sunview Terrace, College Road, Cork], on March 27th 2024, peacefully in Nigeria. Predeceased by his parents Dan and Margaret [née Dunne], sisters Sr. Carmel [Mercy Sisters, Wakefield, England], Sr. Sheila [Litte Sisters of The Assumption, Cork] and his brother-in-law Chris. Deeply regretted by his sister Kaye Horgan [Ballinlough], nieces and nephews, grand-niece and grand-nephews, relatives, friends, the Bishops, clergy , religious and the people of the Dioceses of Makurdi and Lafia, Nigeria and his confreres in the Society of African Missions.
Fr. Donal's funeral will take place in Nigeria at a later date.
A Thanksgiving Mass for his life will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, Blackrock Road, Cork at 12.00 noon on Wednesday, April 3rd 2024. For those who cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed on http://www.churchservices.tv/smablackrock
