The death has occurred of
Fr. Joseph Ruddy MSC
Fr. Joe also lived in Venezuela, Renvyle, Connemara and Frenchpark, Co. Roscommon. Peacefully at University Hospital, Galway on July 18th 2021. Predeceased by his parents Catherine and John Thomas and by his brothers Michael and Seamus. Sadly missed by his brothers Johnny and Eamon, his sister-in-law Patsy, his nieces, nephews, cousins (especially Maureen), relatives, friends, his confreres in the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart in Ireland, Venezuela and elsewhere and the people of Caracas and Maracaibo, Venezuela where he spent 48 years as a dedicated servant of God.
The Missionaries of the Sacred Heart are very grateful for the care Fr. Joe received from the wonderful staff at St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Shantalla, over the past year. Requiem Mass will take place at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July, 22nd 2021. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery.
