Former Army Chaplain, teacher at St. Mary’s College and curate in Holy Family Parish. Peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Beloved son of the late Patrick and Hilda and brother of Hilda Nordon, Patrick Cooney (London), Marie Dickson and the late John Cooney, Harry Cooney, Clora McCourt, Anne Matthews and Brendan Cooney (New Zealand). Deeply and sincerely regretted by his sisters, brother, his Marist Confreres, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives and friends.

Requiescat in Pace

Reposing at St. Mary’s Church (Marist Dundalk) from 4pm-8pm on Wednesday with Evening Prayer at 6pm. Concelebrated Mass on Thursday at 11am, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

The family and his Marist Community would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staffs of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and The Hermitage, Dublin for their dedication in caring for Fr. Kevin.
