The death has occurred of Fr. Peter Anthony Hughes (Columban Fathers), St. Columban's, Dalgan Park, Navan, Co. Meath / Cleggan Co. Galway.
Hughes, Fr. Peter, of Missionary Society of St. Columban, formerly Cleggan, Co. Galway, Chile, Britain, and Dalgan Park, Navan: Sunday 30th March, 2025, in the exceptional care of the nursing staff at Our Lady's Hospital Navan after a short illness. Pre-deceased by his parents Patrick and Kathleen Hughes and sister Mary. Much loved brother of William, Patrick, Brigid, Margaret and Catherine, nieces, nephews, his Columban Missionaries family, the wonderful staff at Dalgan Nursing Home, wider circle of family, friends and neighbours.
May Fr. Peter's soul rest in peace.
Removal Wednesday evening, 2nd April, 2025, from 7pm to the Church within St. Columban's, Dalgan Park, Navan (eircode C15AY2Y). Funeral Mass Thursday morning, 3rd April, at 11am followed by burial afterwards in the Community Cemetery.
