Francis McWalter

The death has occurred of Francis McWalter, Derrydonnell House, Derrydonnell More, Athenry, Co. Galway and formerly of Hillsbrook, Barnaderg, Tuam, Co. Galway. It is with deep sadness that Francis’ family share the news of his death on Tuesday 3rd of December 2024. Peacefully at Derrydonnell House surrounded by family and friends. Predeceased by his Parents Paddy and Bridget, his Brother Patrick, Niece Angela and brother-in-law John Eaton. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his Brother Richie, Sister Mary Eaton (Drogheda), Sisters-in-law, his adored Nieces, Nephews, Grandnieces, Grandnephews and his family in Derrydonnell House and his wide circle of friends in Barnaderg and Athenry.

Reposing in Derrydonnell House, Athenry (H65 NX85) on Wednesday 4th of December from 2:30pm. Francis will make his final journey home to his beloved Hillsbrook, Barnaderg. Reposing at his Brother Richie’s home in Hillsbrook (H54 WV06) on Thursday 5th of December from 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Friday 6th of December at 12 o’clock in St. Mary’s Church, Killererin (H54 WY44). Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Down Syndrome Ireland. If you would like to leave a message of sympathy for the family please use the online book of condolence.
