The death has occurred of Gertie (Gertrude) Spain, née Coughlan, “St. Kierans”, Church Street, Birr, Co. Offaly, October 21st, 2021, in the wonderful care of Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband Matt, she will be sadly missed by her loving children, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.
Reposing at her residence on Friday (strictly for family only). Removal on Saturday morning to arrive at St. Brendan’s Church, Birr, at 10.45am for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr. Gertie’s Funeral will take place in accordance with Government guidelines and her family kindly request that they are adhered to. They thank you for your understanding at this sad and difficult time.
