Gertrude (Gertie) McGovern
(née Farnley)
McGovern (née Farnley), Gertrude (Gertie) (late of Summerhill) – 17th February, 2024 (peacefully) at the Mater Hospital, surrounded by her family, after a short illness. Beloved mother of Martin, Paul, Joseph and Eileen, Gertie will be deeply regretted and very sadly missed by her loving family, daughters-in-law and son-in-law, grandchildren, her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand, on Wednesday evening (21st February) with a gathering of family and friends from 5pm to 7pm. All welcome. Removal on Thursday morning (22nd February) to St. Agatha’s Church, North William Street, arriving for 11am Requiem Mass, with Funeral thereafter to Glasnevin Crematorium.
