The death has occurred of

Hannah T. Duggan

Nanuet, NY., formerly of Ormond Beach Florida and Co, Limerick

Hannah T. Duggan of Nanuet, NY., formerly of Ormond Beach Florida and Co. Limerick, Ireland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, surrounded by her family. Hannah was born in Ireland and came to New York at the age of 18, where she met the love of her life, Andrew J. Duggan. They had been married for 61 years and she passed on what would have been her 64th wedding anniversary. Together they had four beautiful children: Andy, Ann-Marie, Tommy, and Cathy.

All her life, Hannah was a very hard worker, from owning and operating a motel in the Catskills, NY to flipping houses before it was a “thing”. She never complained and was not afraid to roll up her sleeves and pitch in where needed. It did not matter if she was in New York, Florida or Ireland, she was loved by everyone who met her. She had a special connection to the Blessed Mother that few could ever comprehend. She would always say “prayers can move mountains” and her prayers were powerful.

Hannah was adored by her family and lifelong friends. She was an active member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, New City, NY. She was energized by Irish music, dancing and playing the bagpipes. She played the pipes marching up Fifth Avenue every St. Patrick’s Day for years. It was only recently she began telling jokes to her family. Her delivery was always as funny as the joke itself. She made us laugh! We are blessed to have had her in our lives and she will be deeply missed forever.

Hannah was predeceased by her devoted husband, Andrew J. Duggan and her son, Andrew T. Duggan. She is survived by her children: Ann-Marie, Tommy, Cathy, their spouses and grandchildren, sisters, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

No words can describe to void and the grief we are feeling. We wanted to keep you here forever, but it was not God’s plan. We will meet again and until then, we will carry your love with us. Rest in Peace, Mom.
