Hugh (Hughie) Fay

Hugh (Hughie) Fay, Longfield, Lisboduff, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, died 12 May 2022, peacefully, at the residence of his son Matthew. Beloved husband of Rita and cherished father of Alison, Matthew, Deirdre, John, Eoin, Daniel and Andrew. Will be very sadly missed by his wife and children, their spouses and partners, his adored grandchildren, brother Eugene, sisters Mary and Nan, brothers in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing this Friday at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill, from 5.00pm to 7.30pm, concluding with prayers. Funeral cortège leaving his residence on Saturday afternoon to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Bunnoe, for Requiem Mass at 2.00pm, and can be viewed live on www.churchtv.ie/bunnoe with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Face coverings are asked to be worn throughout, with walk through only in the funeral home and people are asked to refrain from handshakes and hugs.
