McCarthy (Leap & New York): It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James McCarthy, 55 Knolls Crescent, Bronx, New York and formerly of Milleenahilan, Leap, Co. Cork. James passed away, peacefully, on May 26th at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York.

James, beloved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, grand-uncle, cousin and friend is pre-deceased by his parents Denis and Catherine, brother Donal and brother-in-law Paul. He will be sadly missed by his loving sister Maureen, brother Denny, sisters-in-law, Pat and Nora, nephews, Colm, Donal and David, nieces, Catherine, Marylou, Elaine, Katie, Catriona and Niamh, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

James’ funeral will take place in accordance with current Government and HSE guidelines on public gatherings. The funeral cortége will leave his home in Milleenahilan on Saturday June 26th at 9.45am for Requiem Mass at 10.30am in St Fachtna’s Church, Rosscarbery (live streamed on https://www.churchservices.tv/rosscarbery) followed by burial in Kilfachtnabeg Cemetery, Glandore, Co. Cork.
