Joan O'Mahony
(née McCarthy)

On 12th of December, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Beloved daughter of the late Margaret and Cornelius McCarthy, predeceased by her husband John and brothers Jerry, Jimmy and Noel. Much-loved mother of Elizabeth, Margaret, Frank, John and Mary, and very special grandmother to Emmet, John, Clara and Conor.

Joan will be much missed by her sisters Chrissie, Margaret, Nora, Teresa and Frances, brothers Denis, Kevin and Martin and their families; daughters-in-law Mercedes and Adrienne; sons-in-law Tony, Reg and Mícheál, sister-in-law Sandra, nephews, nieces, relatives, her many friends, kind neighbours and her carers.

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel Street, Bantry, P75 YW58 on Thursday, December 14th from 6pm to 8pm with vigil prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday, December 15th at 2pm, at the Star of the Sea Church, Kilcrohane, P75 VX75 (to view live stream click here) followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.
