Joan O’Shea (née Quaid)

Joan passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving husband and family in the Mercy University Hospital, Cork on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024.

 

Beloved wife of Richard, much loved mother of Barry, Michael, Daniel and the late Luke, cherished grandmother of Saoirse, Caoimhe, Anna and Dáithí.

 

Dear sister of Michael, Finbarr, Nora (O’Donoghue) and Jeanette (McCarthy).

 

Deeply regretted by her loving husband, family, Barry’s partner Marian, Joan’s aunts Ann (Finn), Barbara (Willis), Nora (Lehane) and Bernie (Kelly), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, friends and Joan’s good friend Mary Glavin.

Reposing in O'Keeffe's Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Mallow (P51 XE2T) on Friday evening from 5:30pm to 7:00pm followed by Prayers and Reception into the Church of the Resurrection, Mallow.

 

Requiem Mass on Saturday morning at 11:00am, after which Joan will be laid to rest in St. Gobnait's Cemmetery, Mallow.

 

The family would like to thank ‘Blue Bird’ carers and the doctors, nurses and staff of the Mercy University Hospital, Cork for the wonderful attention and kindness shown to Joan during her time spent in their care.
