On 11 November 2023, John died peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Mayo Hospice.

Pre-deceased by his sister Joanie.

 

Deeply mourned by his brothers Mick and Gerard, and his adoring sister Stella.

Very sadly missed also by his loving nieces Caitriona, Clodagh, Aisling and Siobháin, his nephews Michael, Ian, Ultan, Eric, Gerard, Paul, Brendan Jr. and Sean Michael, grand nieces, grand nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Reposing at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) on Tuesday, 14 November from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for John on Wednesday, 15 November, on arrival to St. Ignatius Jesuit Church, Sea Road at 11:00 a.m.

Following Mass he will be laid to rest with his parents in Bohermore cemetery. Please note this Mass will not be live streamed.
