Peacefully, at Blackrock Abbey Nursing Home. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (nee McElroy), son Gerard, parents James and Rose, sister Rosie, brother Eddie and daughter-in-law Linda. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing sons Seamus, Seán, Brian and Padraig, daughters-in-law Roma, Jacqui and Una, grandchildren Sarah, John, Rebecca, Eoin, Niamh, Cian, Gráinne, Ciara and Rachel, great-grandchildren Jake, Tiarnán, Claragh, Noah, Emily and Flynn, sister Mary, brothers Pat and James, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at home (Eircode A91 Y070) from 4pm to 8pm on Sunday, July 2nd, and from 2pm to 8pm on Monday, July 3rd. Removal on Tuesday at 11am, proceeding on foot to the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Brid-a-Crin (Eircode A91 W308), arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
The family wish to express their appreciation to the wonderful care staff at Blackrock Abbey Nursing Home for the dedicated attention John received while in their care.
