The death has occurred of
John Downey
Downey (Mashanaglass, Macroom) on 2nd June 2023, peacefully at Cork University Hospital, after a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family, John, beloved husband of Nora (nee Manning) dearly loved father of Mary (Browne), Bríd (Kelleher), Stephen, Anne (Callanan), Richard, brother of Kay, Ted and the late Jimmy, Eddie, Sheila, Ann and Maura, father-in-law of Alan, Stephen, Joan, Niall and Mary. Deeply regretted by his wife, daughters, sons, beloved 19 grandchildren, sister, brother, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and friends.
Reposing in St. Colman’s Church Macroom, P12VP20 on Sunday, 4th June, from 6.30pm to 8.00pm with prayers. Requiem Mass on Bank Holiday Monday, 5th June, at 12 noon which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/macroom. Funeral afterwards to St Colman’s Cemetery, Macroom.
