Jameson John (Johnny), aged 92, a child of the Monto (Railway Street); a proud inner city man who then lived his married life in Coolock with his beloved wife Doreen (RIP) where they raised their four children, John, Michael, Damien and Sinéad.
A man who had connections with many inner city institutions like the Belvedere Newsboys Club (lifelong member), Capital Loans Society (member, volunteer, trustee), Clerys and Lloyds pubs (his Sunday morning and sometimes Tuesday evenings locals) and Queens Park FC (player, fundraiser, committee member, long time club secretary).
He has gone to join his parents, his brothers Charles, Christopher (Kit), Edward (Ned), George (Babs) and his sister Maura, along with his devoted wife Doreen and infant son Cíarán.
He is survived and sadly missed by his sisters Eileen and Mary Ellen, his four children John, Michael, Damien and Sinéad and their spouses Elaine, Helen and Sandra, his grandchildren; Rhiannon, Celyn, Jane, Gerard, Heather, Cíarán, Chloe, Kacey, Shauna, Aoife and Darragh; great grandchildren Matthew and Michael and many, many nieces and nephews.
Anyone who ever met Johnny and spent even a little time in his company would always remark on what a gentleman he was and that is how he will always be remembered.
May he rest in peace.
