JOHN (JOHNNY) COMMINS

Commins John better known as Johnny, Ennis Road, Gort and late of Clarinbridge, Co. Galway. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the tender care of the staff at U.H.G on the 20th of April 2021.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Bernie and granddaughter Mairead. Cherished and adored father of Padraic, Maura (Gavin) and John John. Lovingly remembered by his daughters-in-law Lynda and Christina and son-in-law Enda. Forever in the hearts of his grandchildren Aoife and her partner Dermot, Cian and his partner Ciara, Jack, Therese, Paddy, Mia and Anna and of his great grandchildren Sean, Cathal and Cliodna. Sadly missed by his brother Michael and sister Geraldine and his extended family, neighbours and many many loyal friends.

Due to current restrictions and government guidelines Johnny’s funeral will take place in private for family only. Johnny’s funeral cortege will arrive at St. Colman’s Church, Gort on Thursday, April 22nd, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Private cremation to follow at Shannon Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Johnny's funeral mass will be streamed live on the Gort Parish Facebook Page. House strictly private at all times please. Johnny’s funeral cortege will travel after mass via The Square, Bridge Street, Georges Street and his home on Ennis Road and onward to Shannon crematorium. Persons who intend to stand out on the route after mass are asked to please adhere to social distancing and current guidelines in the best practice to prevent the spread of covid 19. The Commins family deeply appreciate your kindness, loyalty, love and support at this time and wish to thank most sincerely all our neighbours, friends and the Doctors, nurses and staff at Corrib ward U.H.G. A memorial mass and interment of Johnny’s ashes will be held at a later date. Finally to Johnny you were one of life’s great gentleman, you will be greatly missed by all.
