John (Johno) O'Rourke

O'Rourke (Cobh) on the 18th July 2021, peacefully surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful and loving care of Dr. Harry Kelleher and all at Cobh Community Hospital, John (Johno) late of Youghal Carpets and former player and Chairman of Cobh Ramblers FC. Beloved husband of the late Peggy (nee McGroarty) and much-loved father of Derry (Rocky) Angela (Ward), Niall, John, Brian, Claire and Ian, dear brother of Ann, Harry, Derry, Eddie, Pat, Kevin and Ger. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, his 18 grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and large circle of friends.

May Johno rest in peace

Johno's funeral cortege will leave Cahills Funeral Home, Newtown Road, Cobh on Wednesday, 21st July, at 10.30am en route to St. Colman's Cathedral for a private family only (max 50) Requiem Mass at 11am followed by cremation at the Island Crematorium. After Johno's Requiem Mass his funeral cortege will walk to Cobh Ramblers via Frenches Ave before his onward journey to the Island Crematorium.

Johno's Requiem Mass will be live streamed on www.cobhcathedralparish.ie at 11am on Wednesday, 21st July, and his Cremation Service will be live streamed on www.islandcrematorium.ie at 1pm.

Those who would have liked to attend Johno's Services but due to current restrictions cannot do so may leave personal message in the condolence section below. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to Cobh Community Hospital.
