JOHN McCARTHY

McCARTHY (Killeenreendowney Avenue, Lower Friars Walk): On May 30th 2024, JOHN (late of Cleansing Department, Cork Corporation) passed away peacefully, in the presence of his loving wife and family and in the tender care of Marlyn and the devoted staff of St Joseph’s 1, St Finbarr’s Hospital. Beloved husband of Ellen (née O’Driscoll), devoted father of Joan (Power), Don, Catherine (Twohig), Aileen (Heaphy) and Mary (Griffin), dearly loved granda of the late Daniel and dear father-in-law of the late Thomas. Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife and family, sons-in-law Jim, Paddy and Miley, daughter-in-law Patricia, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephew, niece, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Turners Cross, on Saturday (June 1st) from 5pm until 6pm.

Requiem Mass on Monday (June 3rd) at 11am in Church of the Assumption, Ballyphehane which will be streamed HERE

Funeral afterwards to St Oliver’s Cemetery, Model Farm Road.
