The death has occurred of
John McCarthy
John McCarthy, Doora, Portmagee, died peacefully, on February 7th 2022, in the excellent care of the staff of Valentia Community Hospital, and in the presence of his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Mary, daughter Marie and his brother Fr. Joe. Sadly missed by his son Joe, daughters Johanna and Margaret, sons-in-law Seamus and Gerard and daughter-in-law Annmarie. His grandchildren Sinead, John, Lorraine, Brendan, Jack, Mike, Charlie, Ellie, Anita, Fiona, his two great-grandchildren Oisin and Alison, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Waking in Daly’s Funeral Home, Wednesday, 9th February, 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass for John will take place on Thursday, 10th February, at 11am in St. Patrick’s Church, Portmagee. Burial after in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Valentia Community Hospital.
