John Patrick Friel

Formerly Gortnatra, Fanad and London. Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Letterkenny University Hospital. Deeply regretted by his wife Susan, sons Terence and his partner Trish (Burtonport), John and his partner Karen (Surrey) and daughter Caroline (Stranorlar).

Sadly missed by nephews Patrick (Cashel, Fanad), Brendan (Dungloe), nieces Marie (Dublin), Sinead Giles (Letterkenny), Eimear (Cashel, Fanad), sisters-in-law Kathleen Patterson and her husband Stephen (Letterkenny), Anne Roff and her husband Chris (London) and Sally Friel (Cashel, Fanad), brothers-in-law George Shiels and his wife Maria (Letterkenny) and John Patrick Shiels (Letterkenny). Fondly remembered by his extended family, neighbours and many friends.

May He Rest In Peace

John Patrick’s remains will repose at his late residence (Stranorlar) from 2pm on Friday 3rd March. Removal from there at 11.30am on Sunday 5th arriving at St. Mary's Church, Fanavolty, Fanad, for 1pm Requiem Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. 

Rosary at 9pm both nights. House private from 10pm to 11am.
