John Wilkes

Ballyfermot, Dublin / Crumlin, Dublin

WILKES, John– Ballyfermot and formerly of Crumlin, Dublin, passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on 8th September 2024 at St James Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife Pauline, son John, parents Alfred and Margaret, brothers Brian and Desmond and daughter-in-law Mayela. John will be very sadly missed by his loving family. Cherished Father of David, Caroline, Anthony, Susan, Paul and Rosemarie. John will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, daughters, eighteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, sons-in-law Stephen; Ibar and Sean, daughters-in-law; Annette, Eiko, Celine, Karimy and Mia, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The Wilkes family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff in The Rialto Ward, Misa building at St James Hospital, The Palliative Care Team and especially Anna in The Parkinsons Unit for their professional, empathetic, and dedicated attention they gave John during his time in their care.

 

John will be reposing in Stafford’s Funeral Home, Ballyfermot on Thursday, 12th September, from 3pm to 7pm. Removal on Friday morning to The Church of The Assumption, Ballyfermot arriving for 11am Funeral Mass followed by a burial at Mount Jerome Cemetery.
