Joseph (Joe) Mc Kenna, died 25th May 2020. 21 St. Colmcille's Villas, Kells, Co. Meath.
The death has occurred, of the much loved Joseph (Joe) Mc Kenna 21 St. Colmcille's Villas, Kells, Co. Meath. in the loving and devoted care of his sons and daughters and extended family, following a long illness accepted with dignity.
Joe will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband to his loving wife who he cared for during her long illness and who predeceased him just over five month ago on 18th December 2019. He will also be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather and brother.
Joe worked for many years with Wellman International and Maintenance Staff at Kells Garda Station. He also served as a member of Kells Fire Service and prior to his retirement he was a member of Kells Town Council Outdoor Staff all of which Joe took great pride in and was highly respected by all his work colleagues.
Joe will also be fondly remembered by his neighbours in St. Colmcilles Villas where he has lived for sixty years.
Joe is predeceased by his loving wife Margaret and is survived by his sons and daughters, John, Marie, David, Susan, Margaret, Joe, Dereck, Steven, Darren, Peter and Eleanor, sister’s Maisie, Bernie and Lilly , brother’s Tommy and Jimmy, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law and extended family.
Joes remains will leave his family residence on Wednesday at 11.30 am to arrive at St. Colmcilles Church for Private Funeral Mass at 12noon followed by burial in St. Colmcille's Cemetery.
