The death has occurred of Josie Callan (née Winters). Highfield, Carrickmacross and formerly Tullynaskeagh, Carrickmacross & Northhampton, England. 16th April 2020, in her 95th year. Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Castleross Nursing Home, Carrickmacross. Predeceased by her husband Jimmy and her sisters May, Cissie, Rosie and Nancy. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her sons Paul (Dublin) and Thomas (Belgium), her daughter Josephine (Treanor, Monaghan), daughters-in-law Pauline and Sandra, son-in-law Damien, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

A private Mass will be offered for the happy repose of Josie's soul in St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, on Saturday, 18th April, at 11am. To view the Mass via the webcam please follow the link here.
In accordance with current guidelines Josie's burial will take place privately. A Funeral Mass celebrating Josie's life will take place at a later date. Please leave a message for the family on the condolence section below.
Josie's funeral cortege will leave Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home on Saturday, 18th April, at 12 noon, via the Ardee Road, pausing at the entrance to Highfield Estate.
