The death has occurred of Kathleen (Katie) Cooney (née McCahey), Carragartha, Corduff, Co. Monaghan, peacefully in her 94th year, surrounded by her loving family at home in Carragartha Saturday 20th January 2024. Predeceased by her husband Sonny, daughter Helen and brothers Owney and Paddy. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her loving son Noel, daughters Mary, Ann and Maeve, daughter-in-law Marie, sons-in-law Gerard, Stephen, Vincent and Philip, grandchildren Amanda, Katie, Gerard, Leanne, Anthony, Nicole, Aimee, Cían Oisín, Dáire, Conor, Ella and Lilly, great-grandchildren Abbie, Eóghan, Sienna, Annie-Rose and Rían, extended family, neighbours and her many good friends.

Reposing at Deerys Funeral Home, Carrickmacross (A81 C653) on Saturday from 2pm to 6pm. Reposing at her residence (Carragartha A81 WF95) on Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. Removal on Monday morning from her residence to St. Michael’s Church, Corduff (A81 X312) arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery.
