Lila Monaghan

The death has occurred of Lila Monaghan (nee Byers), Cavan Street, Oldcastle, County Meath. Peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband, Benny, parents Bridget and James, sisters Mary and Phyllis, brothers Jim, Patsy, John and Tommy. Sadly missed by her children, Colm, Patrick, Maureen, Bernard, Joanne, Dermot and William, her sisters Daisy, Kathleen, Nan, and Agnes, her brother Willie, daughters in law, sons in law, her much loved 17 grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Lila’s family would also like to express their gratitude to the care givers in the community and in particular, Martina Madden, Mary Hussey, Rachel Sheridan, Dr. McKevitt and Kieran (Meath Palliative Care Team) for their loving care and attention.

Lila will be reposing at Gibney's Funeral Home, Oldcastle (A82 D376) this Thursday, May 19th, from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass will be on Friday at 11am in St. Brigid's Church, Oldcastle, with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
