MURPHY (née Mooney) – (Cabinteely, Dublin 18) peacefully after a very short and unexpected illness, July 7th 2024, in St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Elm Park, surrounded by her loving family. Mai, beloved wife of Philip, adored mother of Niamh, Chiara and Daragh. Forever remembered by her heartbroken husband, children, sons-in-law Tim and Guy, daughter-in-law Maria, cherished grandchildren Sam, Lauryn, Finn, Josie, Ollie, Chloe, Adam and Owen, sister Kay, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, amazing friends and fantastic neighbours. Remembering also her late parents Lal and Josie and her brothers Willie and Peter.

Her request was that her funeral be a celebration of her life and she invites everyone to wear bright colours. Reposing in Quinn’s of Glasthule, A96EW88, Wednesday, July 10th, from 4 pm to 6 pm. Removal Thursday, July 11th, to St Brigid’s Church, Cabinteely, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am which can be viewed online at www.churchservices.tv/cabinteely followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium arriving for 12.30pm which can be viewed on https://www.dctrust.ie/location/newlands-cross/chapel-webstream.html

Her request was for no flowers please. Donations, if desired, to a charity of your choosing. We would like to thank her Consultant Sarah Beirne and the wonderful team of incredible nurses on the Hazel ward who looked after Mai so well. Also our deepest thanks to the incredible Pallative Care team who supported us all.
