Mairéad Lyons
(née Giles)

Peacefully, in the loving care of her family and staff in St Joseph's Community Nursing Unit, Trim. Mairéad, loving wife of the late Patrick and dear Mother of Mary, Michael, Brenda, Paraic and Terry. Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, beloved Radie to her 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by her brother Micheál, her 2 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law, and the extended family. Pre-deceased by her brother Lorcan and sisters Aine and Mary.

Due to government advice, the capacity of the church is limited to 50%. Funeral Mass will take place in the Church of The Assumption, Coole, on Friday at 3.30pm and can be viewed on

followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Those who would have liked to attend, but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave a personal message for Mairéad's family in the 'Condolences' section below.

Mairéad's funeral cortège will travel from her home at 3pm, en route to the church, via the New Road and Coole School. Friends and neighbours are very welcome to line that route in a safe and socially distanced manner as a mark of respect.
