Margaret Brophy
(née Carson)
Margaret (Peggy) Brophy (nee Carson) 38 Assumptions Place, Cobh, Co. Cork. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret (Peggy) Brophy, beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Brophy, loving mother of Billy, Roy, George, Brendan, Paul, and daughter Geraldine, daughters-in-law Ann, Martina, Ena, Siobhan, and Pam and mother-in-law of the late Gerard. Peggy was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing, which occurred peacefully in the care of Cobh Hospital. Peggy was predeceased by her brother George, sisters Josephine and Celia. She will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, relatives, friends, neighbours, and many others whose lives she touched.
Peggy will repose at her home (38 Assumption Place, Cobh) on Thursday, January 26th, between 6pm and 8pm followed by a rosary. Reception into St. Coleman's Cathedral on Friday, 27th January, at 12 noon followed by interment into St. Coleman's Cemetery.
