Margaret (Peggy) Fitzgibbon
(née Quaid)

Peggy passed peacefully in University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by her loving family on Friday the 21st of March 2025. Predeceased by her husband Michael. She will be hugely missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Therese and Marie, grandchildren Ingrid, Gearoid, Honora and Eilis and Sons-in-Law, Gerry and Alan, and Nieces and Nephews. Peggy will also be missed by her extended family, wonderful neighbours and many friends. The family would like to thank the staff in St Itas Rehab Unit, Newcastle West, Staff at the University Hospital Limerick and Croom Orthopaedic Hospital for their exceptional care and kindness. Special thanks to the Paramedics and the Ambulance Service again for exceptional care and support.

Peggy will be reposing at Riedys Funeral Home, Sheehans Road, Gortboy, Newcastle West (V42 CD52) on Tuesday the 25th of March from 5pm to 7pm. Arriving at St Munchin’s Church, Knockaderry (V42XR79) at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass is on Wednesday the 26th of March at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Clouncagh New Cemetery.
