WHELAN, Margareta (Conerney), Of Brookline, formerly of Old Galway Road & Toolobaun, Kiltulla, Co Galway Co. Galway, Ireland, June 11, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Patrick Whelan. Loving mother of Rita Atkins and her husband Stephen of VT, Mary Teresa Whelan of Brookline and the late Patrick W. Whelan. Devoted grandmother of Jason and Anthony. Great grandmother of Liam, Chase and Connor brothers Brendan & Michael sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family & friends.. Also survived by a large extended family in Ireland and England. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Wednesday, 8:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help “Mission Church” 1545 Tremont St., Roxbury at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
