BEECHINOR (“Chestnut Lodge”, Kilmoylerane, Ballinascarthy): On August 18th 2024, unexpectedly but peacefully, in the presence of her loving family and in the exceptional care of the staff at Bantry General Hospital. MARIA (née Hourihan), predeceased by her loving husband Paddy and her dearly loved son-in-law Conor Lordan, sister of the late T.J., John, Martha, Denis and baby Finbarr. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken sons and daughters Gerardine, Gregory, Francis, Anthony, Colette, Brendan, Rebecca and Rosarie, brothers Dr. Joe, Anthony and Dr. Jude, sons-in-law Donal Dilworth, Finbarr Sheehan and Oliver Barry, daughters-in-law Gretta and Mary, adored grandchildren David, Greg, Maeve, Pat, Mark, Daniel, Luke, Joseph, Michaela, Rebecca, Mariah, Kate, John, Clare, Faustina, Rachel, Faye, Jane, Leah, Isaac, Maria, Eva, Neassa, Aaron and Fintan, sisters-in-law Noreen Hourihan, Susan Hourihan, Gladys McSwiney and Angela Beechinor, nephew, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Clonakilty on Wednesday, August 21st 2024, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm followed by Prayers. Requiem Mass on Thursday, August 22nd 2024, at 2pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Enniskeane. Funeral afterwards to the adjoining Cemetery.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Medical Assessment Unit, Medical Ward and Palliative Care Unit of Bantry General Hospital for their compassion and the care shown to Maria over the years and also to the Transitional Care Unit at Clonakilty Community Hospital for the care given to Maria during her brief stay there.
