The death has occurred of Mary McDonagh (nee Comer), Knockdoemore, Claregalway, Co. Galway, formerly of  Sea Road, Sligo and Ballindine, Co Mayo. Peacefully on November 18th 2021 in Brooklodge Nursing Home after a short stay.

Mary was predeceased by her husband and carer Jimmy in September and they are now reunited.  Mary was dearly loved by her sons James (deceased), John and Brendan, daughter in law Maria, sisters, Teresa (deceased) Una, Cathy and Josephine, brother, Bert (deceased), sisters-in-law, to brother in law, nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Mass for Mary McDonagh will take place in the Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh (H65 N129) on Sunday, at 2pm  followed by Private Cremation.

 

All funeral arrangements take place in accordance with current Government guidelines on funerals and public gatherings. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged and participants both inside and outside the Church should strictly observe social distancing and refrain from hugging or shaking hands. 

 

 

Mass will be live-streamed on www.lackaghchurchliveyoutube and also broadcast on parish radio, 106.9 FM.

 

Anyone who wishes to do so, are invited to leave a message of condolence in the section (Condolences) below.

 

Mary’s family wish to acknowledge the support they have received from family, neighbours and friends. They are indebted and wish to thank sincerely the management and staff of Brooklodge Nursing Home who cared so well for Mary in recent weeks. The express heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses, carers and homecare teams who have looked after Mary and Jimmy so well, over many years. They are deeply appreciative of the kindness provided.
