BYRNE, (neé McMahon), Mary, known to all lovingly as Joan (Joanie), Grace Park Road, Dublin 9, (formerly of 197 Lower Dominick Street, Dublin 1 which always held a special place in her heart), 14th November, 2022, peacefully at The Mater Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her dear parents May and Michael McMahon, her dear sister Ann and sister-in-law Tricia. Joan will be greatly missed by her loving husband and best friend Eamonn, her two sons Michael and Eamonn and her only daughter Ann (Murphy), her ten treasured grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, her seven brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, a large extended family, a wide circle of good friends and lifelong neighbours.
The Byrne and McMahon family will always be so grateful to Finglas Community Care Services for all their support and help given to them while caring for Joan at home, a special word of appreciation and mention to Colette who was both a wonderful carer and true friend to Joan. Many thanks also to all the Staff at the Mater Hospital, Dublin for caring for Joan over the past few days.

Joan will repose at her brother Patrick (Pancho) McMahon’s residence on Thursday, 17th November, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass will take on Friday morning, 18th November, 2022 at 10am at St. Laurence O’Toole Church, Seville Place, North Wall, Dublin 1, followed by burial at Fingal Cemetery.
