Mary Looney
(née Sugrue)

Looney, on July 26th 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loving family, in the exceptional care of the medical staff of St, Brigid’s Ward, Bon Secours Hospital Cork. Mary, beloved wife of the late Sean and loving mother of John, Michael and Geraldine (Griffin), dear sister of Margaret Mc Hugh (New York) and John Sugrue (New York). Predeceased by her brothers Mickey Sugrue (Florida), Donie Sugrue (New York) and Grandson Darragh Griffin (Dunderrow).

Sadly missed by her loving family, sisters-in-law Mary Sugrue and Sadie Sugrue (New York), Cait Deasy, Peggy o Leary, Josie Coakley, Noreen Looney, brother-in-law Willie Looney, daughters-in-law Mags Looney and Catherine Moynihan and son-in-law Paul Griffin. Dearly missed by her grandchildren, adored Nana of Cian, Dylan, Zack, David, Conor, Ethan and Leon, nephews and nieces (both in Ireland and the U.S.A) extended family, neighbours and friends.

Mary will be lying in repose at Gabriel and O'Donovan's Funeral Home KINSALE on Sunday eve from 6pm followed by Prayers at 8pm.

Requiem Mass on Monday eve at 3pm at St. Mary's Church Innishannon which will be live-streamed on https://corklivestream.com/funerals funeral afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.
