Mary Murtagh
(née Heavey)

Mary, peacefully on 17th November 2023 ,surrounded by her loving family, in the loving care of the nurses and staff of The Midland’s Regional Hospital Mullingar.

Pre- deceased by her parents, her husband John, daughter Geraldine McManus (Roscommon) and by her sister Sr. Assumpta Heavey .

Mary will be greatly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Annette (Blessington), Madeline Kapular, Bernadette Scally (Roscommon), Catherine Bannister, son Peter, sisters Kathleen Leslie (South Africa), Francis (South Africa), brother-in-law Graham Leslie (South Africa), grandchildren Colin, Mark, Niamh, Sarah, Aoife, Caitlin, Eoin, Cai and Ming-Thuy, daughter-in-law Mary, sons-in-law Liam , Zlatko and Philip , Annette's partner Tim and Donal Scally ,niece Jenny Leslie (U.K), relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81), on Saturday from 5.00pm concluding with prayers at 8.00pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Sunday in the Church of the Blessed Virgin, Newtowncashel, at 2.00pm, interment afterwards in Cashel Cemetery.
