Formerly of Greenfields, Galway and Ballykilleen, Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo.

In the early hours of Thursday, 25 April, 2024 Mary died peacefully surrounded by family in the gentle care of the staff at Rushmore Nursing Home; dearly beloved wife of the late John Joe and much-loved mother of Tom. Pre-deceased also by her siblings Kathleen, Bill, Tom and David.

Deeply mourned by her son Tom and greatly missed by her brothers and sister John, Martin, Michael and Anne and their families. Fondly remembered by the extended McGuire and Timothy family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at ‘St. Anthony’s Room’ within the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra on Tuesday, 30 April from 5p.m. with Removal at 6.30 p.m. to the Church. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Mary on May Day (01 May 2024) at 11 a.m. and following Mass she will be laid to rest in Dunmore cemetery, arriving at 1.30 p.m. approximately. Mass will be livestreamed on the parish website. No flowers, please.
