Mary Walsh
(née Swanick)
The death has taken place of Mary Walsh nee Swanick of the Quay, Kinvara Co. Galway and formerly of Cloonfad, Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon. Mary died peacefully in her home following an illness bravely borne, surrounded by her family. She will be sadly missed by sorrowing husband Patrick (P.J.), by her children Padraig (Oughterard), Aileen (Gort) and Tomás, her grandchildren Claire, Emily Jane, Cormac, Sarah Jane and Cian. Her brothers John (Cork) Tom (Cloonfad) and Jim (Galway) her daughters in law Tara and Trina, Aileen’s partner Sinead, sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, her good friends, and neighbours.
House private please
A private funeral mass will be on Monday October 5th 2020 at 1 p.m. in St Joseph’s Church, Kinvara, followed by burial after in Mount Cross Cemetery. Mary’s cortege will leave her home in the quay Kinvara proceeding along the Main street at 12.30. For those who wish to be present along the route please observe safe social distancing. Mary’s Mass can be viewed on Ballinderreen and Kinvara Parishes Facebook page. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to the Galway Hospice Foundation.
