Maura DOWNEY
(née Prendergast)
DOWNEY (Nee Prendergast) (Porterstown, Dublin, formerly of Easton Park, Leixlip, Co. Kildare and Newtown, Clogher, Co. Mayo) July 22nd 2024 (peacefully) surrounded by her family and in the loving care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Maura, beloved wife of Noel of 51years, cherished mother of Dermot, John and Teresa, devoted grandmother to Aimee, Ian, Céala and Claragh and dear sister of Christy, Edwin, Catherine, Ann, John (Junior), Pauric and the late Michael. Pre-deceased by her parents John and Mary. Sadly missed by her loving family, daughter-in-law Kim, John’s partner Karen, Teresa’s partner Ciarán, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Rest in Peace
Reposing at her residence on Thursday evening from 6pm to 8pm. Removal to St. Mochta’s Church, Porterstown on Friday morning arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by burial in Confey Cemetery, Leixlip.
