On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Maureen slipped away peacefully in the care of the staff at Brampton Care Home, Oranmore.

Predeceased by her beloved parents Thomas and Kathleen and by her sisters Breda, Joan and Patricia. Maureen will be sadly missed by her nephew Eamon and niece Deirdre (Canada), the extended Thornton family, neighbours and friends in particular by Emily Deavy.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Maureen at the Church of St. Oliver Plunkett, Renmore on Thursday, December 19, 2024, on arrival at 10 a.m. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest with family in Glasnevin cemetery, Dublin. Live streaming link for Mass: Here
