May McCarthy

The death has occurred of May McCarthy (née Lynch) - Moorland, Marlinstown, Mullingar, Co Westmeath, formerly of Carrickduff, Dring, Granard, Co. Longford - March 18, 2024, aged 85 years, (peacefully), surrounded by her loving family, and in the tender care of the nurses and staff at Bethany House Nursing Home, Tyrrellspass, Co. Westmeath.

Recently predeceased by her loving husband Pat.

Cherished and devoted mother of Ciarán, Finian, Jimmy, Rosemary, Pádraig, Colm, Áine, Finola, Siobhán, and Cormac; May will be sadly missed and forever loved by her sons and daughters, sisters Peggy (USA), Betty (Dublin) and brother Mel (USA), her adored twenty four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

Remembering also the deceased members of the McCarthy and Lynch families.

Reposing at the Gilsenan’s Funeral Home, College Street, Mullingar N91 K660 on Wednesday March 20, from 4.00pm concluding with prayers at 7.00pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday afternoon at 1.00pm in the Cathedral of Christ the King followed by burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Marlinstown. May's Mass can be seen on the live webcam here.
