Michael Corkery

Michael Corkery, 2nd November 2024, Sarnaught Lodge, Sarnaught, Castlebar, retired Telecom Éireann staff member and former Mayo GAA goalkeeper, peacefully in his 95th year, in the loving care of the staff in the Ross Suite, Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar.

Predeceased by his parents Catherine and Patrick, brothers and sisters and his best friend Michael Neary.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, sisters Philomena and Angela, brothers Fr. Eamon, Neilus and Oliver, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Michael will repose in Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlebar, F23 XY63 on Tuesday (5th November) from 5.30 -7pm.

Removal on Wednesday morning at 8.45a.m for Requiem Mass at 11am in St. Mel’s Cathedral, Longford.

Michael will be laid to rest afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery.
