Michael Daniel (Mike) Connolly
The death has occurred of Michael Daniel (Mike) Connolly, formerly of 62 Shelmartin Avenue, Fairview, Dublin 3 and 49 Sutton Grove, Bayside, Sutton, Dublin 13. Michael passed away in South Africa, where he had emigrated in the 1980s, on 15th July 2021. He would have been 85 on 4th August 2021. Michael was a businessman, keen historian and published author.
Michael will be sadly missed by his sons Michael and Sean, his daughters in law Nikki and Christine, his grandaughters Morgane, Jeanne, Storm and Lauren as well as his nieces, nephews, wider family and many friends.
Arrangements for a commemoration in Ireland will be announced in due course. As per his wishes, Michael will be cremated in South Africa.
The family would like to thank the hospital nursing staff as well as the Maree family for their kindness and invaluable assistance since Michael's passing.
