Michael Flanagan 

Oaklands, Salthill, Galway / Riverstown, Sligo / Galway City, Galway

Formerly of Flanagan’s Footwear, Galway and Riverstown, Co. Sligo.

Michael passed away peacefully at  University Hospital, Galway on Friday, 20 January, 2023 with his dearly loved and devoted wife Ann and his daughters Paula and Edel by his side.

Pre-deceased by his parents John Joe and Helena, sister Maura and recently deceased brother Joe Flanagan.  Rest In Peace.

Deeply mourned by Ann and his “girls”, sons-in-law Joe O’Toole and Joey Tyrrell, brother Tommy (Sligo), his five precious grandchildren Zara, Zoe and Jay O’Toole, Mollie and Josh Tyrrell, brothers-in-law Michael O’Donohue and Jimmy Hannigan, sisters-in-law Mary Bennett, Breedge O’Donohue, Ursula Nally and Patricia Hannigan, nieces and nephews, godchildren, the extended Flanagan and O’Donohue family,  wonderful neighbours in Oaklands and his many great friends.

 

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) on this Monday, 23 January from 4.30 p.m.  Removal at 6.00 p.m. to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill via Oaklands to arrive at 6.45 p.m. approximately. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Michael on Tuesday, 24 January at 11 a.m. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in the new cemetery, Bohermore, side by side with his infant grandchildren Lucy, Michael  and Lily. 

A voice we loved is stilled
