Michael Harrington

HARRINGTON, Boffickil, Eyeries, Beara, Co.Cork on the 2nd October 2023 peacefully in the loving care of his family at his home, MICHAEL. Beloved husband of the late Julia and loving father of Finbarr, Marie (Crowley), Louise (McCarthy) and Anita (Quirke). Sadly missed by his wonderful daughter in law Maureen, sons in law Tadgh, Darren and Jason, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, loving brother John and his wife Margaret, sister Mary Ellen and all his nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends.

Predeceased by his brothers Robert and Richard.

Reposing in Harringtons Funeral Home, Castletownbere on Tuesday (3rd) from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to his home.

HOUSE PRIVATE.

Requiem mass will take place at 11am on Wednesday (4th) in St.Kentigern’s Church, Eyeries followed by burial in Gortnabulliga Cemetery. Funeral Cortège will leave Michael’s home at approximately 10.30am. Link to view funeral mass below. Family flowers only donations, if desired, to the Palliative Care Unit.

Michael’s family would like to thank all the wonderful public health nurses, home help carers, the palliative care staff at Bantry General Hospital, the staff in Castletownbere Community Hospital and Maggie, Trish and Liz for the wonderful care they showed Michael.
