The death has occurred of Michael Heaphy of Lislaughtin Abbey, Ballylongford, Co. Kerry. Mike as he was more affectionately known passed  peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of Kerry University Hospital Tralee on Wednesday, August 12th 2020. A dearly loved and sadly missed brother of Gerry, Kathleen and Bridie (both in Canada). Deeply regretted by his sister-in-law Betty, brother-in-law Eamon, nephews, nieces, family relatives, neighbours, and wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements: Please note: Due to the Corona virus and in line with best practice taken from government advice regarding public gatherings, Michael's Funeral Reception, Mass and Interment at Cemetery is strictly restricted to family and close relatives please.

 

Michael's remains will be received into St Michael the Archangel Church, Ballylongford on Sunday evening, August 16th, leaving Lynch's Funeral Home at 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, August 17th, at 12 noon followed by Interment immediately afterwards at Lislaughtin Abbey.

 

People who wish to show their respects by means of standing in a guard of honour like assembly, may do so, either on route to the Church or afterwards, on route between Church and Cemetery, but must strictly observe social distancing rules of 2 metres, please.

 

Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot do so, please leave your personal message by clicking on the section below marked “Condolences” at the bottom left hand side of this page. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Michael's life will be celebrated at a later date.
