Michael Heavey

The death has occurred of Michael Heavey, Ballinlass, Ballinamore Bridge, Co Galway. Michael passed away at Mountbellew nursing home surrounded by his loving family.Loving husband of Eileen (née O’Keeffe), cherished father of Michael, Marilyn, Norbert, Áine, Ivor and Paddy and father in-law of Rebecca, Mary-Rose, Catherine and Michael.Predeceased by his parents Michael and Annie (née Gavin) and his brothers Martin (Castlerea), Pake (Ballinacor) and Tom (Ballinamore Bridge). Sadly missed by his brother Jack (Ballinacor). Adored and much-loved grandfather of Joyce,Daniel, Saoirse, Gwyneth, Keeva, Fionn, Abigale, Saibh, Éabha, Róisín and Fiona. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews, brother in-law and sisters in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends. Michael’s family would like to sincerely thank the healthcare staff and management of Mountbellew nursing home for their absolute dedication, love and support for Michael and his family over the past 2 years.

Reposing at:

St. Brendan’s church Toghergar, Wednesday, the 22nd of November from 5.30 to 8.00pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday, the 23rd of November at 12:00pm. Funeral afterwards to Killian Cemetery. Those who wish to leave a message of condolence for the family can do so in the condolences section below.
