The death has occurred of Michael Joseph Daly, 86, of Dumont NJ, and formally of Knocknageeha, Gneeveguilla, Co. Kerry, who passed away on November 6, 2024. Predeceased by his brothers, Daniel, Denis, John, and his sisters, Margaret, Breda, Nora.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary (née Coleman), his sons Michael, Jr. and his wife Kristine, John and his wife Patricia, Dennis and his wife Nicole. Cherished grandfather of Michael III (Heather), Ashlyn (Nicholas), Bryana, Mason, Devin, Aidan, Declan, Brandon, and great-grandfather of Jaxson and Colton. Michael is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth.


Michael was born in Gneeveguilla, County Kerry, Ireland to Elizabeth (née Regan) and Denis Daly. He immigrated to the Bronx, NY in 1962 before settling in Dumont in July, 1978. Michael was a Facility Manager at Toys R Us for many years, a member of the Knights of Columbus St. John's Council #1345 for 62 years, a Trustee and devoted member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, a member of Parents and Students of Irish Dancing & Music, Pioneer Total Abstinence Association of the Sacred Heart, and St. Joseph's Gaelic Football Club.


Visitation at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 280 Washington Avenue, Dumont on Sunday, November 10th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Michael’s Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, November 11th, at 10:00am. Interment afterwards at Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Avenue, Mahwah.
